With conventional welding the three components, to be joined simultaneously, in a seat component would have required a power in excess of 100 KVA. The risk of distortion and black marks on the welded parts due to heating was also high. Artech’s Cpacitor Discharge welding technology needs much lesser power as compared to conventional welding and delivers clean, distortion free welds.

Artech’s application engineering team developed specialised electrodes and fixtures to perform the three welds simultaneously in the seat components. The client was able to produce large volumes with the confidence of consistent quality and a huge benefit in the form of power saving.
